It comes after the festival’s QLD edition was cancelled for 2024.

Last Wednesday (November 15), Secret Sounds made the tough decision to cancel the Meanjin/Brisbane date of next year’s Heaps Good festival, citing “supply chain and event equipment issues”. Organisers promised at the time, though, that they were “working on two replacement shows” to be held in Brisbane’s CBD – and now those have been detailed.
Both shows will go down at the Fortitude Music Hall, respectively taking place on Tuesday January 2 and Wednesday January 3. Foals will headline the first date, closing out a bill that also features Declan McKenna, Griff, Sycco and FELONY. The second date sports a similarly stacked lineup, led by The Avalanches and SBTRKT with additional sets from Holly Humberstone, MAY-A and Logan.
Tickets for both shows go on sale at 9am this Friday (November 24), following a Secret Sounds presale that kicks off at the same time on Thursday (November 23). They’ll also be a part of the promotor’s upcoming Black Friday sale – which also features discounted and/or exclusive pre-release tickets for other Secret Sounds events, including next year’s Splendour In The Grass and Harvest Rock festivals – in the form of a $159.90 package deal. Head here for more info on the Black Friday sale, or see below for links to the other aforementioned sales.
Meanwhile, Heaps Good will go ahead as planned in Naarm/Melbourne and Kaurna/Adelaide, respectively taking place on Sunday December 31 and Saturday January 6. For more details on these shows, head here.
