Buffett called it "angelic".
Florence + The Machine received the full Tonight Show experience this week, appearing on Jimmy Fallon’s show for not only an interview and performance in support of their new album but also a quirky skit.
The show’s Audition Suggestion Box segment included a ‘fan request’ that guest Jimmy Buffet come out and play Margaritaville, which he did, until finding his “long lost shaker of salt” on Fallon’s desk and jokingly storming off.
After a few more suggestions, another ‘fan’ asked if the song could be finished, and that’s when Fallon introduced Florence Welch, who gave the classic an “angelic” new spin.
Welch was joined by Buffett and Fallon during the song, which you can check out below.
Florence + The Machine also performed My Love on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, a track from new album Dance Fever, which is out today.

In the lead up to Dance Fever’s release, Florence + The Machine were teasing fans by drip-feeding details, with song titles randomly appearing as customised playing cards on the band's website and live performances of unreleased tracks occasionally finding their way into setlists.
Dance Fever was produced by Welch, Jack Antonoff and Glass Animals’ Dave Bayley.
Florence + The Machine will return to Australia next March in support of the new album.
