After three years without a singer and guitarist Dino Cazares teasing the new vocalist for some time, Fear Factory have finally announced the band's new singer.
Milo Silvestro, an Italian singer who makes music under the moniker Dead Channel, is officially the fourth member of the groove-metal pioneering group.
In a video announcement revealing the new singer, Silvestro said about the journey to becoming Fear Factory's new singer, "I did a vocal cover, a [Fear Factory] Soul of a New Machine medley, with like pieces of songs from that album. I decided to post it … just to get some people to see it. And fortunately enough, Dino was on that page, and he complimented me. He was like, 'Oh, this is amazing, dude.'"
"I know for sure we got the right guy," Cazares said. "It is a big week for us in Fear Factory as we make our final preparations for our return to the live stage touring across the US, beginning in February on the Rise of the Machine tour [with Static-X]. We can't wait to get out on the road and start kicking some ass."
In a press release shared by Consequence Of Sound, Silvestro added, "This is a huge opportunity for me. I’ve been a fan of the band for many years, and it feels very surreal, but I’m excited to be part of it. I know I have some massive shoes to fill, but I’m here to do it in the best way possible and give justice to the vocal legacy of this legendary band."

"I am very much looking forward to showing everybody what's coming next for Fear Factory," Cazares said in a recent Kill Your Stereo interview.
"We've been doing pre-production for a new record; I've been demoing all our new songs. We're going to be really busy next year; the first few months of next year are pretty much all booked!
