Ozzy Osbourne mega fan Helen Maidiotis has been petitioning to have the Prince of Darkness honoured with a knighthood.
Maidiotis' Change.org petition has 34,624 signees at the time of writing, with a goal to reach 35,000.
Maidatos has contacted the UK government about her view on the matter. She has reportedly received a letter from the UK Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sports Honours Team with a good news update: the cabinet for Michelle Donelan, MP, wrote in a letter that shows Ozzy is, in fact, "under consideration" for knighthood.
Last month, in an interview on SiriusXM and reported by Yahoo, the Bark At The Moon singer commented, "It is so fucking tough because, I mean, I want to be out there. I want to be doing it. This fucking surgery this guy did. Fucking hell, you have no idea."
Osbourne expressed frustration about his condition following significant surgery and uncertainty about whether he can tour in 2023. "The thing is, my head is all right, my creativity is OK, my singing OK, but I just can’t fucking walk much now," he added. The post-surgery rehabilitation is also getting the Black Sabbath vocalist down.
"I can’t begin to tell you how fucking frustrating life has become," Ozzy explained. "It is amazing how you go along in life, and one stupid thing can screw everything up for a long time. I have never been ill this long in my life."

In August last year, Osbourne and fellow Black Sabbath member and guitar hero Tony Iommi closed the 2022 Commonwealth Games in headbanging style with a performance of the iconic Sabbath song, Paranoid.
It was a big moment for the Birmingham band and a fitting way to close out memorable games for them. The performance followed Iommi's participation in the Commonwealth Games opening ceremony, where he teamed up with saxophonist Soweto Kinch to perform Hear My Voice.
Osbourne released his 13th album, Patient Number 9, in 2022, the first new release from the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame inductee and Grammy-winning singer and songwriter since his critically acclaimed, worldwide, chart-topping 2020 record, Ordinary Man.
The single, Patient Number 9, was written by Osbourne, producer Andrew Watt, Metallica bassist Robert Trujillo, Red Hot Chili Peppers drummer Chad Smith, and songwriter Ali Tamposi, and features a riveting solo from the late, legendary guitarist Jeff Beck.
