The talent is strong with these acts.
This year's Falls Music & Arts Festival has received a healthy dose of emergent local talent courtesy of the annual triple j Unearthed competition, giving some of the country's best up-and-comers a shot at the big-time.
The winning class for 2017 contains some real corkers, too, from prodigious 18-year-old artist Samsaruh (Lorne) and Tassie garage-punk luminaries A Swayze & The Ghosts (Marion Bay) to beloved Brisbane outfit Bugs (Byron Bay) and ascendant West Australian Elli Schoen, for her second go-around at Falls Downtown.
They join a broader line-up of artists that have already set excitement levels alight, including Flume, Fleet Foxes, Angus & Julia Stone, Foster The People, Peking Duk, The Smith Street Band, Run The Jewels, Glass Animals and more.
Falls Festival has already sold out in Lorne (28-31 December) and Byron Bay (31 December-2 January), but tickets are still available for the all-ages event in Marion Bay (29-31 December) and Fremantle's 18+ Falls Downtown shindig on 6-7 January.
