The lineup for Good Things 2023 is here, and it turns out yesterday’s teaser from Fall Out Boy was indeed synced up to the announcement: they’ll be headlining this year’s edition of the touring festival.
Joining them at the top of the bill are Limp Bizkit and Devo, with the latter appearing as part of their joint farewell and 50th anniversary tour. Right below them, we see a packed suite of international heavyweights like I Prevail, Bullet For My Valentine, Corey Taylor, Pennywise, Enter Shikari, Behemoth, Sepultura, Taking Back Sunday and PVRIS (the lattermost of whom were also teased in advance). Representing the local scene in this cohort, too, are Spiderbait and Slowly Slowly.
The full lineup is rounded out with 17 more acts (for a total of 31) including huge names like The Plot In You, While She Sleeps, Eskimo Joe, Frenzal Rhomb, Short Stack and Jebediah, as well as some more up-and-coming crews like Bloom and Magnolia Park. See below for the full lineup.
This year’s Good Things will kick off in Naarm/Melbourne on Friday December 1, followed by Eora/Sydney and Meanjin/Brisbane over the rest of that weekend. Tickets go on sale at 10am AEST next Thursday (August 24), with a presale running from the same time next Tuesday (August 22) – head here to sign up for access, or bookmark this link for the general sale.
Reviewing the Brisbane edition of Good Things 2022, Tim Price and Jess Wall wrote: “All in all, Good Things Festival has planted the flag back in the ground for larger-scale, international-artist-led festivals again. Morale was high, fashion was incredible, the sounds a joy to hear in the open air once again, and LONG LIVE LIVE MUSIC!”
