Time to bust out your spandex - these two legends of rock guitar heroics are coming down to melt faces across Australia next year
Closet guitar shred tragics will be jumping for joy upon hearing that glam legends Extreme will be landing on Australian shores early next year. Also coming along for the ride will be special guest Richie Kotzen, the guitar virtuoso best known for his stints in Poison and Mr. Big.
Extreme are probably best known for their acoustic smash hit 'More Than Words' and the fretboard wizardry of lead guitarist and co-frontman Nuno Bettencourt. Their 1990 breakout album Pornograffiti saw them integrate a wide range of influences into their trademark hair-metal sound and the band has since gone on to sell over 10 million records worldwide.
Going head-to-head with Bettencourt will be special guest Ritchie Kotzen, equally renowned for his own brand of fiery guitar acrobatics. Born in England, Kotzen made his name on the legendary Shrapnel label releasing guitar-oriented solo material before joining Poison, with whom he would pen two top-twenty singles.
