Caffeine hits, busking sessions and well-travelled shoes...

More Stu Larsen More Stu Larsen

Acoustic indie-pop muso Stu Larsen is currently in the middle of a national tour and has given theMusic.com.au and you, the fans, an exclusive look into life on the road.

In the first part of this photo diary series, Larsen ventured from Fremantle to Perth and then Hobart, with snappers twobirdstweet.com capturing some of the muso's most intimate tour moments — and the all-important food and caffeine stops along the way. Check out the pics below:

The first day of the tour arrives and kicks off with brunch at the Moore & Moore Café, Fremantle. A great combination of delicious coffee, food and wandering through their art exhibitions.

It’s sound-check time at our first venue, The Odd Fellow in Fremantle. An opportunity to run through the set-list.

The low lighting of The Odd Fellow lent itself to minimalist black and white photography of the show.

A quick caffeine hit at Hush Specialty Coffee in Fremantle before heading into Perth.

Preparation for the Perth show at The Ellington Jazz Club and a chance to meet the staff before doors.

Performing for a sold out show at The Ellington Jazz Club.

Stu’s well-travelled shoes and skinny jeans on stage at The Ellington Jazz Club.

We arrive in Hobart and hit Salamanca Market for a busking session.

With some time to check out Hobart and its surrounds, we headed down to Huonville to enjoy a chocolate or two (or three) at The Cat’s Tongue Chocolatiers.

The first day in Hobart was rounded off with a laneway burger at The Standard.

Performing to the audience at the Grand Poobah in Hobart.
