Evanescence To Release A 'Fallen'-Inspired Makeup Kit

Fallen, the iconic debut album by Evanescence is turning 20 this year.

A few days ago, We Are The Pit reported that Korn would release a themed makeup kit for their 2003 album, Follow The Leader. In collaboration with HipDot, Evanescence are releasing one as well, with eyeshadow shades consisting of soft mattes, pigmented shimmers, foils and easy-to-blend glitters. 

The shades are named after tracks on the album, with Going Under listed as a Bright White Shimmer, Bring Me To Life in a Muted Blue/Grey Matte finish, My Immortal in a Royal Blue Foil finish, Hello in Black Matte, and more. The makeup kit is sold out, but fans are understandably all-in at $22 a pack for a nostalgic item.

Last year, Ozzy Osbourne released a signature line of beauty products, too; his included all manner of cosmetic staples, including eye-shadows palettes, lipsticks, candles, nail stickers, a cosmetic bag, a goth-inspired mirror and more. 

Highlights of the line are a bat-shaped eyeshadow palette inspired by the infamous 1982 bat-biting incident and another eyeshadow palette shaped like a coffin. The Ozzy Osbourne Collection is available now via Rock and Roll beauty.  

Five months ago, Amy Lee delighted fans in Colorado by joining Korn onstage. The Evanescence vocalist joined the nu-metal originators at Denver's Ball Arena for a spirited performance of Freak On A Leash. 

The performance was a reunion of sorts, with Lee having featured on the 2007 MTV Unplugged version of the song.

Both bands were touring in support of new records at the time, with Korn pushing their #1 ARIA charting Requiem and Evanescence their career-reviving The Bitter Truth. When the tour was first announced, Lee stated, "I fell hard into Korn's music in high school. It was an inspiration during the formation of my own band. The chances we've had to play together over the years are special, a part of our history. They remain one of the best live bands I've ever seen. It's an honour and a thrill to go out with our friends again, our first full tour together since '07. We're all really looking forward to this."

Requiem is Korn's tenth Top 10 album in Australia and third #1, following on from 1998’s Follow The Leader (home to the original version of Freak On A Leash) and 1999’s Issues.
