Empire Of The Sun have unveiled the supporting acts for their highly anticipated Ask That God Australian tour, set to run from the East Coast and Perth, closing out the duo’s year.
Joining the iconic duo will be the equally Australian, equally colourful electro-pop acts Crooked Colours and Sumner.
The tour, presented by Frontier Touring, will commence on October 24th at a sold-out Hordern Pavilion in Sydney. The duo will then continue to Melbourne’s Sidney Myer Music Bowl on October 26th before flying back up to Brisbane’s Riverstage on October 29th. The tour will wrap up in Perth at an already sold-out gig in the city’s Red Hill Auditorium on November 1st.
Crooked Colours, known for their energetic and highly visual live performances, as well as critically acclaimed albums like Vera, Langata, and Tomorrows, will be supporting Empire Of The Sun for the Melbourne and Brisbane legs of the tour. Their high-energy dynamic promises to extend Empire of the Sun's vibrant show, adding plenty more lush synth-pop layers to the mix.
Consisting of Chloe Wilson and Jack McLaine, Sumner is a rising name in Australian electro-pop and will be showcasing their talents across all dates. The duo, recognised for hits like Stranded, will bring their engaging live show to audiences nationwide.
Their recent work, including collaborations with Littlemore’s other highly successful project PNAU, has further established them as a rising force in the Australian electronic scene.

Known most fondly to Australian households for their 2008 hits Walking On A Dream and We Are The People, the duo of Luke Steele and Nick Littlemore placed their alt-electronica project to the side around 2016, tucking into a long-enduring hiatus.
“I feel like this is the perfect time for Empire Of The Sun to come back,” Steele told The Music in 2023, having had a change of heart during the long introspective months of pandemic life.
"I had so many calls, emails, messages and requests from people yearning for the songs and the music. This is the new era of Empire Of The Sun."
