"Sometimes prioritising yourself means you have to say “no” for you. It means you have to take a step back and breathe. I am vulnerable on stage and being that can be really hard sometimes."

The statement begins, "I’m super honoured to be asked to do and I love Kate and her music. She has been one of my inspirations since I was in primary school and I had the big honour of meeting her backstage at WFF when I was 15/16 So to be asked to support her was an absolute dream! I know one day in the near future we will share the stage and it will be magic."
She continues to say, "As some of you know, I am so very open, and vocal about my mental health in this space.
"This is something I wish the industry had discussions about earlier on In my career. Sometimes prioritising yourself means you have to say “no” for you. It means you have to take a step back and breathe. I am vulnerable on stage and being that can be really hard sometimes.
"As a lot of my friends know in the industry, in my own personal life and within my family my mental health has not been good. I am just not feeling 100% which is totally okay! I’ve been going pretty hard. I am stepping away for the next little bit to work on me and get the help that I need so I can feel better."
She begins to close the post thanking her family and support network through these times.
"I am surrounded by such supportive and deadly people and I can’t Thankyou enough for supporting me through this. Thankyou for playing my music, sharing it and singing it. I don’t want to feel like singing is a job, because when I first started out it wasn’t to me.
It was what made me feel free. I want to have that relationship again with my music, it’s universal, it’s healing. I can’t wait to share new tunes with you all so soon!"
Didirri has stepped in for Wurramara on last minute notice. The tour kicks off tonight (Wednesday the 6th of July) in Perth, before travelling to Melbourne, Hobart, Warragul, Bendigo, Geelong, Adelaide, Cairns, Wollongong, Newcastle and Sydney.
