Legendary Australian recording artists Ed Kuepper & Jim White have announced a new streaming event next month, showcasing their sold-out performance at the iconic Sydney Opera House from last June.
Streaming from 7.30pm, Friday 15 October, the performance features the two coming together in a fusion of musical styles and influences.
Kuepper, whose extensive back catalogue spans five decades of music-making, has worked with White to recreate some of his most beloved tracks from his years with the likes of The Saints, Laughing Clowns, The Aints!, and more, including his prolific output as a solo artist.
White's trademark percussive skills and experimental compositions with The Dirty Tree, Xylouris White and stacks more, have reimagined Kuepper works like never before - with the duo bringing their efforts together for this new live performance.
White recently chatted to The Music about the collaboration and Kuepper's influence on both himself and the Aus music scene at large.
He said of the musician, "I learnt to play the drums playing with the albums (I'm) Stranded and Prehistoric Sounds on the lounge room floor and furniture. It would be hard to exaggerate how exciting and impactful the first album was to me at that time, and how mysterious and evocative Prehistoric Sounds was and is."
