Taking place during Good Beer Week.
Chicago brewers Goose Island will bring their world-famous block party to Australia next month as part of Good Beer Week, with some serious local talent in tow.
After launching the event in Chicago back in 2012 – with headliners St Vincent, no less – they’ll bring it to iconic Melbourne CBD laneway Geddes Lane on May 11, with a talent-packed line-up that includes Ecca Vandal, Moaning Lisa, Bench Press and The Hard Aches alongside DJ sets from The Bennies and DZ Deathrays.
The inaugural Block Party Down Under will also feature art installations, custom merchandise, local food trucks and more, “all with a bit of a Chicago-inspired flare”.
“We’ve put on block parties out the back of our brewery in Chicago for seven years now and having launched Goose Island in Australia back in 2017, we thought the time was right to bring our famous block party to Melbourne and what better time than as part of Good Beer Week,” Andrew Vance, Head of Marketing for Goose Island Australia, said.

“Our block parties bring together and celebrate different aspects of Chicago urban street culture with local music, food and of course a full line-up of Goose brews, and we can’t wait to thank our Australian fans by bringing together some of Melbourne’s finest music acts, artists, street vendors, along with some of our limited edition beers for one day only.”
