Dua Lipa Reportedly Collaborating With Tame Impala
It wouldn’t be the first time Kevin Parker has dipped into the pop world, having previously worked with Mark Ronson, Lady Gaga and Rihanna.

Dua Lipa has reportedly recruited Tame Impala’s Kevin Parker for the highly anticipated follow-up to her 2020 album, Future Nostalgia.
After Lipa previously hinted at her interest in teaming up with Parker in 2018 (“I would love to make an album with Kevin Parker, from Tame Impala,” she said in a Copa90 interview, per NME), she might have finally made that wish come true.
In a recent New York Times Magazine interview via Consequence Of Sound, Lipa’s new album will be “informed” by “1970s-era psychedelia”, shaking off the disco pop vibes of Future Nostalgia.
The Times notes that Lipa “all but confirmed” the rumoured collaboration with Parker when she answered, “I don’t know what you’re talking about”, with a laugh after being pressed about it.
The Don’t Start Now singer revealed that her third album will remain in the pop sphere, however, as she doesn’t want to “alienate” fans and cause them to have a potential “meltdown”. So, The Less I Know The Better meets Physical?
The results of a Tame Impala and Dua Lipa collaboration could be intriguing for fans of both acts. As a producer, it wouldn’t be the first time Parker has dipped into the pop world, having previously worked with Mark Ronson, Lady Gaga and Rihanna, to name a few.

As Consequence Of Sound reports, Lipa fans (and Instagram and Reddit sleuths) seemingly confirmed that she was in Parker’s home studio in November 2022 - you can check out the photos below. While no release date has been attached to her upcoming third studio album, the LP should arrive in 2024.
In late May, Lipa dropped her Barbie soundtrack offering, Dance The Night. Produced by Mark Ronson, Andrew Wyatt, and the Picard Brothers, the new track echoes Ronson's current style, with whirlwind strings, sparkling synths and a stomping beat.
The song follows the same sonic realm as Dua Lipa’s last album, Future Nostalgia, with many references to the 80s in both releases.
Earlier this year, Tame Impala unveiled the Lonerism 10-Year Anniversary Box Set, which began shipping in May.
The box set contains three vinyl LPs, a 24-page booklet, unreleased Lonerism demos and never before heard demo sessions. Anniversary edition artwork was designed by Erin Knutson and Immanuel Yang, with additional photography by Matt Sav and Kevin Parker.
