It’s been a busy 24 hours for Drake, who’s dropped his long-awaited new album, For All The Dogs, and revealed that he’s taking some time away from music to focus on health issues.
The latest record from the famous Canadian rapper features collaborations with Bad Bunny, SZA, Cash Savage, Nicki Minaj, J Cole and more. With artwork designed by his five-year-old son, Adonis, For All The Dogs is likely to connect with a multitude of Drake fans.
In an Instagram video, Drake and Adonis explained how the cover art came to life: the painting, which looks like a goat, represents the “Daddy Goat” in Adonis’ work. According to Drake, the goat makes “perfect sense” for the album art, and he asked his son “how much money [he] got for his beautiful drawing”, to which Adonis replied, “Oh, please.”

Drake teased For All The Dogs back in June after dropping his poetry book, Titles Ruin Everything and hinting at the emergence of the “old Drake”.
In addition to promoting the poetry book’s release, Drake also took out ads in publications such as the New York Post and Los Angeles Times, which featured a QR code that linked to a website called TitlesRuinEverything.com, where the upcoming LP was revealed in a short, simple statement.
“I made an album to go with the book,” the statement on Drake's website read. “They say they miss the old Drake girl don’t tempt me. FOR ALL THE DOGS."
Hours after For All The Dogs dropped, Drake revealed that he’d take a “year or so” away from music to deal with health issues.
The announcement arrived during a recent episode of Drake’s SiriusXM podcast, Table For One. Citing “the craziest problems” with his stomach, he continued, “I probably won’t make music for a little bit. I need to focus on my health, first and foremost, and I’ll talk about that soon enough. Nothing crazy, but just like, you know, I want people to be healthy in life, and I’ve been having the craziest problems for years with my stomach.”
He added, “So, I need to focus on my health, and I need to get [that] right.
“I have a lot of other things that I would love to focus on. So, I’ma lock the door in the studio for a little bit. I don’t even know what a little bit is. Maybe a year or so, maybe a little longer.”
