Following reports earlier today that Dr Dre was hospitalised following a suspected brain aneurysm, the rap legend has given an update on his health.
Posting a statement to Instagram, the US artist thanked “family, friends and fans for their interest and well wishes”.
“I’m doing great and getting excellent care from my medical team,” he said. “I will be out of the hospital and back home soon. Shout out to all the great medical professionals at Cedars. One Love!!”

According to TMZ, the rap legend is currently hospitalised at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. The hospital is currently at a crisis point due to overcrowding from the COVID-19 outbreak in the city.

It's believed that he suffered the aneurysm on Monday and is currently being treated in the ICU.
Dr Dre, real name Andre Young, first came to prominence as a member of pioneering hip hop group NWA in the late '80s, alongside Ice Cube, Eazy-E, MC Ren and DJ Yella.
In 1992, Dr Dre released his debut solo album, The Chronic, which saw him win the Grammy Award for Best Rap Solo Performance for Let Me Ride.
He is the founder of Aftermath Entertainment and the hugely successful Beats Electronics, the brand behind the Beats By Dre headphone series, along with producer Jimmy Iovine. He was also a founding member of Death Row Records alongside Suge Knight, The DOC and Dick Griffey.
As a producer, Dr Dre has been responsible for some of hip hop's most lauded records and singles including Snoop Dogg's debut Doggystyle, 2Pac's California Love and Mary J Blige's Family Affair, and for discovering artists like Eminem, 50 Cent and more.
Dr Dre's early life was portrayed in the 2015 biopic Straight Outta Compton which focused on the rise of NWA and its members.
Ice Cube has shared his support for Dr Dre via a Twitter post today saying, "Send your love and prayers to the homie Dr. Dre."
