The Melbourne nine-piece hits the road in August
Celebrated Melbourne pop orchestra Dorsal Fins have added to their ever-growing list of accolades by signing a new deal with stalwart Aussie-exclusive label Dot Dash in the run-up to a national tour this August and the release of their second full-length album.
The signing sees the band complement their existing label home on Remote Control Records, through whom they released their debut full-length, Mind Renovation, in February last year.
Hot on the heels of unveiling new single Sedated, the nine-piece ensemble have lined up a run of dates along the east coast starting from next month, getting under way at Howler, in Melbourne, on Saturday 20 August and rolling through to stages in Sydney (Newtown Social Club, Thursday 25 August), Byron Bay (Great Northern, 26 August) and Brisbane (The Foundry, 27 August). They were also announced this week as part of the excellent line-up for this year's Kyneton Music Festival in October alongside Henry Wagons & The Only Children, Mojo Juju, Deep Street Soul, Jess Ribeiro and more.
Give Sedated a spin below; it provides a much-appreciated early taste of the forthcoming second album, which will be titled Digital Zodiac and is due for release later in 2016 via Dot Dash/Remote Control Records.
