Meanwhile, G Flip made Hottest 100 history with 'Worst Person Alive', and Troye Sivan didn't even crack the Top Five.

Doja Cat has been crowned the winner of triple j’s Hottest 100 of 2023, taking out the #1 spot with her smash-hit Scarlet single Paint The Town Red.
She narrowly beat out G Flip, who came in at #2 with The Worst Person Alive, and broke two Hottest 100 records in the process – not only are they now the highest-charting non-binary artist in the countdown’s history, but they’re the most-voted with seven entries in this year’s list (Be Your Man came in at #22, followed by Good Enough at #24, Rough at #26, Australia at #50, Real Life at #66 and 7 Days at #80).
Rounding out the Top Five were two back-to-back inclusions from Dom Dolla – Saving Up slid into the countdown at #3, with his MK collab Rhyme Dust placing one spot below it – and the triple-treat collab of Cassö, RAYE and D-Block Europe came in at #5 with their hit Prada.
Elsewhere in the countdown, there a few other names that popped up a few more times: Fred again.. had four songs in the list (Adore U with Obongjayar at #6, Rumble with Skrillex and Flowdan at #12, Baby again.. with Skrillex and Four Tet at #35, and Ten with Jozzy at #51), as did Olivia Rodrigo (vampire at #11, bad idea right? at #32, get him back! at #34 and all-american bitch at #56) and SZA (Kill Bill at #13, Snooze at #70 and Nobody Gets Me at #75, as well as Drake’s Rich Baby Daddy at #25).
Doja Cat also came in again at #49 with Agora Hills, and Dom Dolla took #18 out as well with the Nelly Furtado-assisted Eat Your Man.
Meanwhile, this year saw Warm Tunas – “the internet’s most accurate” predictors of the Hottest 100 – way off with their hat-tips. Troye Sivan’s Rush was predicted to be #1 in the countdown, but it ended up rolling in at #8. They also predicted Boygenius’ Not Strong Enough to come in at #2 (it wound up taking out #30) and had Rumble tipped for #3.
