"Due to unforeseen circumstances, the forthcoming Divinyls Australian tour has been cancelled".
Iconic Australian rock band Divinyls have cancelled their forthcoming run of 18 shows across Australia.
In a statement released today the band confirmed that "due to unforeseen circumstances, the forthcoming Divinyls Australian tour has been cancelled".
"All tickets will be refunded at point of purchase. We apologise to existing ticket-buyers for any inconvenience," the statement read.
Due to start in Geraldton on 27 February, the band was then to make their way across the country throughout March playing everywhere from Dunsborough to Mooloolaba.
The touring line-up was to feature original guitarist Mark McEntee, LA-based singer-songwriter, Lauren Ruth Ward, original Blondie guitarist and Divinyls (1987-88) alumni Frank Infante, and a new Australian rhythm section.

It was to be the first time the band played as Divinyls since a 2017 reformation in Perth for a tribute to the late, great Chrissy Amphlett.
