Lo-Fi Solo Star Dirty Beaches' First Australian Tour

One-man lo-fi band Dirty Beaches – Alex Zhang Hungtai to his mum – will be touring Australia for the first time next February.

Far from being a lo-fi 'revivalist', Taiwan-born Canadian-based Hungtai brings a range of new idea to the tapes, which his vocal croon both enhancing and influence the melodic essence in his tracks. Last year he released his (official) debut album Badlands and he's been collecting plaudits ever since.

His first Australian visit, promoted by Handsome Tours, will see him quickly drop into Melbourne and Sydney. Discover him in these intimate surrounds:
