Pop and R&B music icons Destiny’s Child reunited over the weekend, with the best-known iteration of the group – Beyoncé, Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams – coming together for an intimate performance at Rowland’s husband Tim Weatherspoon’s 50th birthday soiree.
Page Six reports that the trio performed in a Los Angeles lounge during the birthday celebrations, with a rendition of Happy Birthday that was described as a “highlight” by guests in attendance.
In addition to Destiny’s Child, the party was home to additional famous attendees, including Jay-Z, The Weeknd, Kris Jenner and more. Check out images of the reunited music group below.
The latest Destiny’s Child reunion follows the revelation that Beyoncé’s father, Matthew Knowles, would be keen to hear “one last album” from the trio.
Knowles told Entertainment Tonight last May, “It’s a decision that the ladies would have to make and I would certainly, certainly support that decision as I still manage Destiny’s Child. I would love to see that as well.”
Knowles added, “I think the fans will be just overjoyed, overwhelmed, and hopefully, they do one last time in their career. Hopefully, they give us one last album. Who knows? You never know. You never say it can’t happen. Because this is entertainment. A lot of things can happen.”

Destiny’s Child disbanded in 2006. Since releasing their 2004 album Destiny Fulfilled and their greatest hits album, #1s a year later, the trio have reunited a few times – most notably at Beyoncé’s 2018 Coachella headlining appearance.
In 2013, the trio reformed for Rowland’s track You Changed from the album Talk A Good Game. In 2014, the three music superstars sang on Williams’ gospel song, Say Yes. The band also appeared in the visuals for Beyoncé’s 2015 self-titled album.
Following the ARIA #2 album The Writing’s On The Wall in 1999, Destiny’s Child went from a foursome – Beyoncé, Rowland, LeToya Luckett and LaTavia Robinson – to the trio we know best, dropping the album Survivor in 2001.
By 2004, Survivor had sold over ten million copies, making it the fifth best-selling album by a girl group behind the Spice Girls album Spice, TLC’s CrazySexyCool, Spiceworld, The Writing’s On The Wall, and TLC’s FanMail.
