Dean Lewis has announced a seven-date national tour in support of his forthcoming third studio album, The Epilogue.
The journey will begin on Wednesday October 30, when Lewis and his band will perform at the Civic Theatre in Newcastle. They’ll head up to Brisbane next, playing the Riverstage the following night (October 31), before rolling down to Sydney for a show at the ICC Theatre on Saturday November 2.
The following Tuesday (November 5), Lewis and co. will take to the stage at Hobart’s MyState Bank Arena, three days before they hit Melbourne’s Rod Laver Arena on Friday November 8. Wrapping up the tour, they’ll perform at the Adelaide Entertainment Centre on Thursday November 21, and at Kings Park & Botanic Garden in Perth on Saturday November 23.
Tickets for all seven shows go on sale at 9am local time this Friday (June 14), following two presales – one for Lewis’ own mailing list, and one for promotors TEG Van Egmond – that both kick off at the same time a day earlier (June 13). Head here for more info on both sales.
In a press statement, Lewis said of his bewilderment over the upcoming tour: “Reaching this level in my career is beyond anything I ever imagined. It's been my dream all along to perform at venues like these. It’s hard to believe that I started out playing to 100 people in tiny venues, and now I’m headlining places like Rod Laver Arena, Wembley, Ziggo Dome and the Royal Arena. This truly feels like a dream come true. I can't wait for my fans around the world to experience my biggest and best shows yet.”
The excitement was shared by Christo Van Egmond (managing director for TEG Van Egmond), who said in a statement of his own: “Joining forces with Dean again for a third time will be one of the year’s highlights. His talent and drive are unstoppable, and to hear new music played live so soon after its release is a big bonus for Aussie fans.”
