Their first trip back to their old stomping ground in over two decades.
Following on from the announcement of their first Australian shows in over two decades – which will take place at the Sydney Opera House in early February – Melbourne-bred, London-based new-age, world music fusionists Dead Can Dance have finally revealed that they will return to where it all began with a Melbourne show announced this morning.
The duo, made up of Lisa Gerrard and Brendan Perry, recently released Anastasis their first album of new material in 16 years, and they are currently on their most extensive world tour to date in support of it. The band left Melbourne for London just a couple of years after their 1982 formation and their return visits have been rare, to say the very least, so this is an experience that fans of the band really can't afford to miss.
Tickets for the Melbourne show are on sale from 8am Monday 1 October, or you can hit the Frontier website for presale information.
