Dave Faulkner Reunites With '70s Band The Victims To Release New EP

Over 40 years on since forming, The Victims have reunited to release a new EP.

The Perth-founded band, formed by Hoodoo Gurus frontman Dave Faulkner in the '70s, have released Horror Smash (originally released in the US late last year) which features new recordings of some old demos, "plus another from back in the day that was never put to tape, captures the same energy and humour and absolutely relentless attack".

Then known as Dave Flick, Faulkner formed The Victims in 1977 alongside James Baker (The Scientists/Beasts Of Bourbon, as well as the original drummer for Hoodoo Gurus) and Rudolph V. The trio delivered hit single Television Addict and one EP before they split in mid-1978.

The latest line-up still features Faulkner and Baker, and The Hard-ons bassist Ray Ahn who performed with the band for some reunion shows in 2014.

The Horror Smash EP will be available for purchase soon, "once the factory is back from lockdown". 

The Victims have also promised fans that Australian shows will be announced in due time (they already would have if not for the COVID outbreak, mind you), while gigs in the US this October and November are still scheduled to go ahead.

The Victims
