The Grizzly Bear guitarist will touch down in February
Grizzly Bear guitarist and co-vocalist Daniel Rossen has announced that he will be returning to Australia all by his lonesome for an extremely limited run of dates in the country early next year.
Taking in the dual tentpole stops of Sydney (Newtown Social Club, February 12) and Melbourne (Northcote Social Club, February 15), the pair of performances will serve as an excellent way to get up close and personal with the troubadour in his element as he offers up sublime solo renditions of tracks from his 2012 EP Silent Hour/Golden Mile, alongside other work from his past and present.
He's not been slacking since that disc's release, having spent much of this year busily building his solo skills with some high-profile appearances - not least of all including his participation in Gene Clark's No Other tour, which saw he and contemporaries Beach House, Robin Pecknold of Fleet Foxes, and members of The Walkmen recreate Clark's 1974 opus No Other in its entirety, before he set off on tours of the US and UK, so he ought to be well into the vibe of being on the road when he arrives early next year.
