“It’s the best album I’ve ever made. Hands down. Garage. Grime. DnB. House. Techno. Drill. Yes, DRILL ."
Dance music icon Example has dropped his exciting new collaborative single DEEP alongside Bou and Nonô.
The release of the track also sees Example reveal his highly anticipated eighth studio album We May Grow Old But We Never Grow Up will arrive on the 17th of June.
The album has unique foundations, with the majority of it written in Australia alongside Brook Toia (Pennny Ivy) and highly sought after producer James Angus.
The record is an ode to Example's beginnings, showcasing a multitude of dance music genres as he has complete control over his artistry.
“It’s the best album I’ve ever made. Hands down. Garage. Grime. DnB. House. Techno. Drill. Yes, DRILL !! Even a mad stadium rock song on there. It all flows nicely. The best singing I’ve ever done. The best rapping I’ve ever done. I’m excited for everyone to hear it,” Example stated.
The album's curtain raiser, DEEP showcases Example's ability to consistently and still create incredible dance music following a prestigious career.
The track was made earlier this year back in the UK on his 14 date headline tour. One the tour, he linked with emerging drum and bass artist Bou, and following an instant connection, the two began to collaborate.
“Bou came to my sold out Academy show, his management team are close friends of mine. When we met backstage after the show, he expressed how inspired he was and we made an immediate connection. Then he went home and made the beat to what became DEEP,” Example tells the story.
Nonô, who was supporting Example on the tour, made for the perfect feature, given her flawless vocal and evocative energy.
“Nonô is like my little sis, we share some incredible artistic moments and with her melody I wrote the words and the whole thing just fell into place. It was the best feeling, just perfect as a vibe and as an artistic mix,” he continues.
