"We are absolutely devastated"
American rockers Dance Gavin Dance have announced the sad passing of their bass player Tim Feerick in social media posts this morning.
Feerick passed away on Wednesday evening, although no cause of death has been revealed. The band have asked for privacy after the devastating news, labeling the loss 'heartbreaking and untimely'.

Tim Feerick joined Dance Gavin Dance in 2009, first as a touring member and then as a full part of the band for their album 'Acceptance Speech' which their first breakthrough into the US Billboard top 50 albums chart. Their last album 'Afterburner' was their first to crack #1 on the US rock and metal charts and was their first Australian ARIA Chart nod, breaking in to the top 100.
First formed in Sacremento in 2005, the band have been known for their lineup changes with thirteen members over the years, not including touring and session musicians. The band were due to start a US tour this month with Memphis May Fire and were due to headline Swanfest in their hometown next weekend. It is anticipated that these shows will now be cancelled as the band deal with their sad loss.
