Dan Cribb & Bec Stevens Give The Simpsons' 'Canyonero' Jingle A Pop-punk Makeover

Dan Cribb's ongoing project of taking classic cuts from The Simpsons and turning them into pop-punk gems continues with his latest effort, reimagining iconic season-nine jingle Canyonero, originally sung by country legend Hank Williams Jr.

Bringing aboard Adelaide singer-songwriter Bec Stevens and his longtime friend Jackson Grealy to beef out the song's vocals, the West Australian muso and Perth editor for The Music turns the whip-cracking, southern-fried jam into a typically irreverent and upbeat contemporary earworm without losing any of the original's squirrel-squashin', deer-smackin' drive.

The cover adds to the ever-growing mountain of greatness Cribb has left in his wake over the past year during his Worst Tribute Ever project, having teamed up with members of bands such as Luca Brasi, Ball Park Music, Polish Club and more, as well as solo artists such as Alex Lahey and Ecca Vandal.

Cribb's Canyonero comes fresh on the heels of the muso and his band, The Isolated, being added to the bill for Pennywise and The Bronx's upcoming Fremantle show.
