Crowbar Announce Stacked 10th Anniversary Shows

Beloved Sydney venue Crowbar has announced headlining shows from Northlane, Ocean Grove, Trophy Eyes and Phil Jamieson for November. The shows will be held in honour of the popular punk venue's 10th birthday and all feature stacked line-ups, full of some of the best acts that Aussie punk, rock and hardcore can offer. 

Northlane will kickstart the celebrations on Wednesday 16 November with support coming from Windwaker and Reliqa.

That show will be followed by Ocean Grove teaming up with Clowns and LOSER for a night of high-energy chaos on Thursday 17 November and Trophy Eyes bringing the feels with Peace Ritual and Jet City Sports Club on Friday, November 18. That show will also feature a special acoustic set in the front bar from Trophy Eyes frontman John Floreani. The celebratory run of shows will also include a show by a secret headliner. There's no word on who that might be yet, but the positioning of the show on Saturday night indicates it is likely to be someone quite huge. 

The mammoth run of shows will come to a close with Grinspoon frontman Phil Jamieson giving a solo performance on Sunday 20 November, with support from Luca Brasi's Tyler Richardson, punk icon Jamie Hay (A Death In The Family, Conation, Fear Like Us) and Jono Barwick. 

Tickets for all shows are on sale now. 

The 10th-anniversary celebrations are also an opportunity to pay homage to the original Crowbar in Brisbane. 

The iconic Fortitude Valley spot was revered as one of the best places to catch a punk gig in Australia, however, it sadly had no choice but to close its doors in 2020. Speaking at the time of the closure the venue shared a statement saying 

"Over eight years poured into Brisbane's live music scene, with 7,000 plus bands on our stages."

"We've shared thousands of gigs, good times, beers, shots, singalongs, laughs, hugs, tears and triumphs with friends from all around the world. "These are trying times for the music and entertainment industries and the future is uncertain for a lot of us, but we hope to be back in Brisbane sometime with a very loud bang."

Thankfully for Aussie music fans, the venue's legacy lives on in the Sydney location, thanks in part to a successful fundraising effort in 2021.

Now the 10th-anniversary shows offer the perfect opportunity for fans to show their love for a venue that has served as the site of so many memorable nights.
