Triple j's Hottest 100 is taking place this Saturday after voting closed on Monday.
Warm Tunas, the "internet's most accurate predictions" for the Hottest 100, has entered the mix, and like most years, the website shows that Aussies are keen on local music and listening to artists from the UK and the US.
Gang Of Youths' in the wake of your leave was in the top spot two weeks ago, ahead of Ball Park Music's Stars In My Eyes at #2 and Spacey Jane's Hardlight at #3. A look at Warm Tunas today sees the original favourite to take #1, Say Nothing by Flume featuring MAY-A in that place. We could have an all-Australian top 4 on our hands. If the predictions are correct, #5 will be New Gold by Gorillaz (ft. Tame Impala & Bootie Brown).
International and local favourites make up the rest of the top 10, with Delilah (pull me out of this) by Fred again.. predicted at #6, while B.O.T.A (Baddest Of Them All) by Eliza Rose and Interplanetary Criminal and Steve Lacy's Bad Habit are predicted to land at #7 and #10. Spacey Jane's Sitting Up could be #8 and Teen Jesus & The Jean Teasers' anthem, Girl Sports, at #9.
In their prediction analysis of 2021, Warm Tunas predicted 84% of the songs in the top 100 tracks of the year. They predicted The Wiggles to win the top track while predicting 8 of the 10 top 10 songs, 14 out of the top 20 songs and 84 out of the 100 songs played in the countdown.
Who will take out this year's Hottest 100: Gang Of Youths or Flume and MAY-A?

While the Warm Tunas rankings are no sure bet - as it's based on screenshots and hashtags posted to social media - it correctly predicted the 2018 #1 (Ocean Alley's Confidence) and the 2017 winner (Kendrick Lamar's HUMBLE.).
For the 2020 countdown, Warm Tunas correctly predicted UK outfit Glass Animals' Heat Waves to come out on top ahead of local bands. A few weeks ago, only 125 votes separated Gang Of Youths and Ball Park Music. Now, Flume ft MAY-A are looking to win.
