Stop and smell the roses
New UNFD recruits Columbus have announced their very first album this morning, an ode to Australia's upcoming warmer weather called Spring Forever. Off the back of the news, the Brisbane trio have unveiled plans to take the album on a run around the country.
An album "about love, getting older and coming to terms with losing someone at a time when you’re still learning things about yourself", Columbus vocalist Alex Moses says of Spring Forever, "As I was writing the album, the references to seasons came very naturally – I sometimes feel like I have to fight through the cold, the winter and the hard times to get to the Spring."
Columbus will smell the roses at eight shows this October, kicking off in Perth on 21 October. They'll stop by Yours & Owls Festival's Rad Bar in Wollongong for a set before continuing on to two shows in their hometown of Brisbane on 12 and 13 November.
Horror My Friend and PLTS will be joining the band on all but two WA shows.
