Scottish synth-pop group CHVRCHES have today announced they'll be playing a very special show at the iconic Sydney Opera House during their Australia summer festival run.
The three-piece, consisting of Lauren Mayberry, Iain Cook and Martin Doherty, will be make their Opera House debut on 7 January.
"CHVRCHES’ towering cathedral of sound finally takes over the Sydney Opera House this summer and it’s a thrill to welcome this powerful band inside," says Sydney Opera House's Head of Contemporary Music, Ben Marshall.
"Their soaring, immaculate vistas of neon bright synthesisers together with Lauren Mayberry’s aching, piercing voice will resound brilliantly in the majestic surrounds of the Concert Hall. Come experience CHVRCHES at the peak of their live powers in the room they were made to play."
