The event will be a version of the Bluesfest and West Coast Blues & Roots events
Chugg Entertainment have today announced the inaugural Deni Blues & Roots Festival, with the Deniliquin site – in New South Wales' Riverina – set to provide another stop for artists touring for the Bluesfest and West Coast Blues & Roots festival.
Famous for the Deni Ute Muster, the Deni Blues & Roots Festival will be joint promoter by Chugg and Rob Potts Entertainment Edge as well as the Ute Muster's Deniliquin Play On The Plains Festival Ltd.
Today Chugg Entertainment Project Manager Nick Chugg told theMusic.com.au that the festival was “basically a version of it [Bluesfest] down there.”
Today's first announcement boasted Santana, Chris Isaak, Steve Miller Band, Bonnie Raitt, Jimmy Cliff, Tony Joe White and more for the inaugural event, with another announcement due in the coming weeks.

The site will hold 9,000 people and Chugg said today, “The line-up's fantastic… Deniliquin attracts about a million people a year, we should be able to reach that easy.”
The festival's general manager John Harvie said that it was a “fantastic coup” for the region.
The camping event will take place over two days on the Easter long weekend, Saturday 30 and Sunday 31 March.
Tickets have gone on sale today for 'locals' living in nearby postcodes, with 1,000 set aside at discounted prices. Early bird tickets are on sale Wednesday 21 November and General Public Monday 26 November.
