Sydney born comedian Chopper announces small string of dates in October, running for leader of Anzakistan.
Comedian Chopper (real name Heath Franklin), best known for his impersonation of Australian criminal and author Mark "Chopper" Read, has announced a small tour run in October where he'll be performing at a collection of close venues over Victoria and NSW, resembling an interstate pub crawl more than a comedic tour.
Kicking off in Warrnambool in Victoria on 12 October then making his way up to Albury in NSW with five dates in between, Chopper will be heading back down to Victoria for the last show in Mooroopna.
The premise of the show, according to the ARIA-nominated comedian, is a calling for Australians to "become the world's newest superpower — Anzakistan,'' whilst stating that he would be the perfect candidate. He may have missed out with the federal election currently looming over, but seems that he may cover some very important issues such as chucking sickies because you're hungover, wearing tracksuit pants to job interviews, and stopping at the bottle shop on your way there.
