In response to Childish Gambino’s NEW WORLD TOUR pre-sale selling out almost immediately, the Atlanta rapper added extra shows to his Australian run.
Overwhelming fan demand has turned Ticketek into a bloodbath for international talent once again, as Childish Gambino’s pre-sale tickets for all five shows of his Australia and New Zealand arena tour were snapped up within the first 30 minutes of release.
But don't fear; while general sale tickets will still be available from Monday, May 20th, Frontier Touring has taken the pre-sale hype as a sign to extend second shows to the Melbourne and Sydney legs of the tour.
The tour, which marks his return to Australia and New Zealand since 2019, will span across Auckland, Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne and Perth in huge venues such as the Qudos Bank and Rod Laver arenas.

Childish Gambino’s THE NEW WORLD TOUR is in support of ATAVISTA, released via Liberator Music (part of the Mushroom Group). The album is a newly reworked edition of Glover’s fourth album as Childish Gambino, 3.15.20 (or its “finished version”, as the artist puts it), which was surprise released this week with two new tracks, Atavista and Human Sacrifice.
Alongside the release, Glover teased that a brand new Childish Gambino album – supposedly the very last project he’ll release under the moniker, dubbed “a soundtrack for the fans” when he first spoke of it last month – will be released in the North American summer (winter for us Down Under)
Opening for the multi-talent will be singer-songwriter Amaarae, performing her debut shows down under.
The second Melbourne show will take place on Saturday, February 8th, also at Rod Laver Arena, while the additional Sydney gig takes place on Wednesday, February 5th, at Qudos Bank Arena. The pre-sale for the Melbourne show opens at noon AEST, and the Sydney pre-sale goes live at 3 pm. You can grab your tickets for the Frontier Member pre-sale here.
General admission tickets will be available from midday on Monday, May 20th, via the Frontier Touring website.
