Hopefully none of you missed out on tickets...
Brooklyn-based synth-pop duo Chairlift have called it quits just over a week after wrapping up their Australian headline tour.
In a statement posted to their Twitter, the pair thank fans for being "the sweetest, coolest [and] most loyal", and have said both Caroline Polachek and Patrick Wimberly will be going on to follow their passions.
"Patrick will be going on to produce records full-time, and Caroline to make music as a solo artist."
It seems the disbanding is on amicable terms, as the pair have stated, "The two of us are family at this point, and will undoubtedly turn up on each other's work in the future, but the time has come to take the next step towards where our passion is pulling us."

The duo were slated in to play the — later cancelled — Disconnect Festival, but still flew over to play three headline shows along the east coast from 3 to 7 December. They released their third record, Moth, in January.
