BTS Receive The LEGO Treatment

BTS, one of the most famous and commercially successful bands of the past decade, have received the LEGO treatment. On 1 March, you can recreate multiple scenes from the band's hit single, Dynamite's music video.

The LEGO set includes seven "minifigures" of band members RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V and Jung Kook and 749 little pieces that build a doughnut stall, DISCO venue, a record store, a basketball hoop, a "Dynamite" ice-cream van, two palm trees and a stage. 

"Add LEGO minifigures of the group members to the different locations or place them all on the special stage and turn the wheel to see them dance," the LEGO website reads.

Last year, BTS announced that they were taking a break to focus on their solo projects. In a video, the group spoke about their future to celebrate the ninth anniversary of their debut record, Dark & Wild. They recently released hits like Butter and Dynamite and dropped the three-disc album, Proof in June. 

The news broke 21 minutes into their annual Festa event on Youtube, with Suga stating, “We’re going into a hiatus now; we have to talk about the direction we’re taking."

“We’re each going to take some time to have fun and experience lots of things,” Jungkook told fans. 

“We promise we will return someday even more mature than we are now. I hope that you could give us your blessing.”

Fellow member RM elaborated, "We did Dynamite, Butter, Permission To Dance, Life Goes On, and I realised the group has definitely changed. We have to accept that we’ve changed.

"For me, it was like the group BTS was within my grasp until On and Dynamite, but after Butter and Permission To Dance, I didn’t know what kind of group we were anymore.”

A representative of the band told Pitchfork, “To be clear, they are not on hiatus but will take time to explore some solo projects at this time and remain active in various different formats.”
