Brissy Venues Unite For Free 20-Band Valley Crawl Mini-Fest

Whoever came up with Queensland's "beautiful one day, perfect the next" was clearly talking about the Sunshine State's musical landscape, a fact made obvious as we gear up for the arrival of the newly announced Mountain Goat Valley Crawl next month.

To elaborate, the Valley Crawl is a 20-band-strong event across four Brisbane venues, to be held on the evening of Saturday 27 February, all for the low, low price of absolutely free. Understanding that people's wallets are probably worn a bit thin from all the spending and salaciousness of the festive period, the masterminds at local haunts the Black Bear Lodge, The Brightside, The Foundry and The Zoo have put their heads together to host the priceless shindig, and they've called on a cabal of beloved Brissy acts (plus some friends from south of the border) to help keep punters pumped and partying throughout the evening's festivities.

Those on tap to provide entertainment for the Valley Crawl include the esteemed local likes of ascendant songstress Ayla, stalwart outfit Babaganouj, solo troubadour Banff, eclectic ensemble Baskervillain, multi-talented man-about-town Jeremy Neale, the futuristic fusion of MKO Sun, alt-grunge luminaries Tempura Nights and upstart four-piece The Creases, among others, with Sydney buds Flowertruck and Forever Ends Here making the journey north to help bolster the soundscape that little bit more (as if it needs it — but they're welcome additions nonetheless).
