"I want it to be a friendly reminder that life isn’t flawless."
Bugs have today dropped a brand new track, dubbed Seriously.
This is the latest single from the Brisbane group's forthcoming second album, Self Help, which is due for release next month.
"Seriously is a song about those times you screw up and end up feeling like a bit of a goofball," shared frontman Connor Brooker. "It's easy to be self-deprecating when you make a mistake, but it’s often more helpful to shrug it off and remind yourself that these things happen to everyone.
"It’s liberating and fun, just like the song. I want it to be a friendly reminder that life isn’t flawless, and how it’s important to find the comedic value in defeat."
Bugs will be heading out on tour in celebration of the album throughout November, with Sweater Curse and TOWNS supporting nationally, as well as local openers in each city.
They'll kick off the tour at UCU Hub in Canberra on 15 November and then head to Sydney, Wollongong, Melbourne, Perth and Brisbane.
Tickets for the shows go on sale from Monday 26 August, head to theGuide for all the info on dates, venues and tickets. Check out Seriously below.
