Bring Me The Horizon guitarist Lee Malia will not be touring with the band on their current Australian run, as he and his wife, Deni Marie, are welcoming a new baby.
The British band made the announcement yesterday, just hours before they took the stage in Melbourne.
“Lee is unable to join us for NEX GEN DOWN UNDER shows,” the Shadow Moses rockers wrote on X (formerly known as Twitter). “He will be back for future dates, but is taking some time out with the new addition to his family for this run.”
After last night’s Melbourne show, Bring Me The Horizon have six shows to go.
The tour continues tomorrow at Sydney’s Qudos Bank Arena (12 and 14 April), followed by a gig at the Adelaide Entertainment Centre (17 April) before the band returns to Melbourne—this time, at Rod Laver Arena (18 April). The tour ends with two shows at Brisbane’s Riverstage (20 and 21 April). You can find last-minute tickets via Destroy All Lines.

Special guests Sleep Token, Make Them Suffer, and Daine join the band on all dates, creating a truly stacked, diverse celebration of heavy and alternative music.
In addition to announcing that Malia won’t be joining them on this tour and kicking off the run yesterday, Bring Me The Horizon have started teasing new music—perhaps the new release date for the indefinitely postponed mixtape, POST HUMAN: NeX Gen.
They posted a video teaser on social media overnight, and the post on Instagram coincided with the wiping of the rest of their profile. In the video, the band hinted that “it’s time for a new era”. POST HUMAN: NeX Gen, the follow-up to 2020’s POST HUMAN: SURVIVAL HORROR, has been delayed since last August.
So far, the band have released six singles from the upcoming mixtape. The most recent track, Kool-Aid, was released in January, but Bring Me The Horizon have been gearing up for a full-length release for ages.
The first single from NeX Gen, an anthemic rager called DiE4u, was released in September 2021. sTraNgeRs followed in July 2022, then LosT last May, AmEN! (featuring Lil Uzi Vert and Daryl Palumbo of Glassjaw) in June, and lastly, DArkSide in October.
