The legendary songwriter passed away in 2017.
A new documentary on the life of late US musician Chris Cornell is reportedly in the works.
According to Variety, the film will be co-produced by the Soundgarden and Audioslave frontman's widow, Vicky, as well as actor Brad Pitt and director Peter Berg (Friday Night Lights, Deepwater Horizon).
Cornell was found dead in a Detroit hotel following a Soundgarden show on 18 May 2017. His death was ruled as a suicide.
A representative for Cornell's estate confirmed talk of a documentary is accurate, though no more details were provided.
News of the film comes just days after Cornell's posthumous compilation album, When Bad Does Good, was awarded the Grammy for Best Rock Performance. Cornell's children, Christopher and Toni, accepted the award on his behalf. Watch the full acceptance speech below.
