Boom Crash Opera & Bachelor Girl Team Up For Double Header Tour

Boom Crash Opera and Bachelor Girl are unlikely touring partners, but why not go against the grain and share music with both sets of fans? That might be what both bands asked of themselves prior to announcing their upcoming co-headline tour taking place across the country in September and November.

Dubbed “two hit-filled sets showcasing over 20 years from two legendary bands,” the Boom Crash Opera and Bachelor Girl tour promises a great time. “Who cares about the categories of ‘Pop’ and ‘Rock'? Great pop and great rock are both about great songs,” Boom Crash Opera’s Peter Farnan wrote on Facebook.

“So an evening with Bachelor Girl and BCO together on the same bill is all about great songs … lots of them stacked up in row ... and sung by exceptional singers. It’s an overwhelming quality and quantity concept.”

Bachelor Girl added on their Facebook page, “I have always been a die hard, genuinely unapologetic Boom Crash Opera fan. I mean, come on .. the TUNES! And they rock so damn hard on stage.

“Since I only tour with people I love, and I do love those BCO guys as people, I’m as happy as a pig in sh*t for Bachie & BCO to join forces and bring you all the good stuff we made from the 80s, 90s, 00s & even today.” Tickets are on sale now. Find the full tour dates below.

Bachelor Girl’s Tania Doko and James Roche returned with their new single, Calling Out Your Name, in February.

Bachelor Girl captured the hearts of Australian music fans in 1998, topping the charts with their double platinum-selling debut single, Buses And Trains, from their ARIA award-winning debut album Waiting For The Day, which was also certified double platinum. The album spawned further hits in Treat Me Good, Lucky Me and Permission To Shine. 

Calling Out Your Name is a beautifully optimistic song produced and mixed by James Roche.
