We love unwrapping new announcements
You didn't really think Bluesfest were done, right? The seemingly endless additions to the 2016 Bluesfest bill continues today with promoters popping ten more presents under your Christmas tree in the form of their latest artist announcement.
Atop today's announcement are Washington indie kings Modest Mouse have joined the bill for their first Bluesfest ever, their first album in eight years, Strangers To Ourselves, in tow. Also added is British songwriter legend Graham Nash, founding member of the iconic group The Hollies and now of the supergroup Crosby, Stills & Nash. Nash is a Grammy-winner, a Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame inductee, a New York Times best-selling author and an Officer of the Order of the British Empire by Queen Elizabeth.
Covering other genres too, LA jazz composer Kamasi Washington, Aussie singer/songwriter veteran Richard Clapton, Grammy-nominated folk/country upstart Elle King and Melburnian bluesman Ash Grunwald also join the bursting-at-the-seams bill.
Check out today's full list of additions below, and get in the mood for them too! Head to the Festivals tab to keep track of Bluesfest 2016's line-up.
