He hasn't performed in Australia since 2002
Punk icon Billy Idol has announced his first Australian tour in over a decade, with the rocker set to visit our shores this coming March.
The one-time Generation-X member turned solo star has not performed in Australia since 2002 — you might recall his infamous appearance at the NRL Grand Final — and this visit will see play both festival and arena shows.
Idol will perform at the A Day On The Green concert series during the run, covering the east coast and South Australia and Western Australia, plus three headline dates in Wollongong, Sydney and Melbourne, with American rock veterans Cheap Trick to act as the main support. They are also locked in for the A Day On The Green shows.
Pre-sale tickets are available from Monday 20 to Tuesday 21 October, with general sale available from Thursday 23 October.
