Kicking off in March 2020.
Much-loved American artist Ben Folds has announced a huge run of shows with Australia's leading orchestras.
Dubbed The Symphonic Tour, Folds will be joined by the Sydney, Queensland, West Australian, Adelaide and Melbourne Symphony Orchestras when he tours in their respective states.
"I grew up playing in orchestras, so being on stage with one feels like home to me," said Folds of the tour.
"In these concerts, the orchestra is my band. When I perform with an orchestra, I tell audiences that I’m expressing myself through a different form than what they have come to expect in a rock show, a form that happens to be done by people who are among the best musicians on the planet and who do it all the time."
Folds will kick off the tour with shows at Sydney Town Hall on March 6 and 7, and then head to Brisbane's QPAC Concert Hall, Perth's Concert Hall, Adelaide's Thebarton Theatre and the Plenary at Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre.
