Beck Announces Two Intimate Australian Shows

Beck is making quite the return to Australia next year. 

Not only will he make his Bluesfest debut, but he will also perform his first Australian headline gigs in five years, with two intimate shows in Melbourne and Sydney, gifting fans the rare treat of seeing the Loser singer in a smaller venue. 

He will take the stage at Melbourne's Palais Theatre on Monday, 3 April, and Sydney's Aware Super Theatre on Thursday, 6 April. The Music recently gathered up ten songs we want to hear Beck play unplugged in anticipation of his Bluesfest appearance. Does anyone else automatically burst into tears every time they hear this song because of Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind?, we asked about Everybody's Gotta Learn Sometime. We'd absolutely love to hear Beck sing this one with a cry in his voice that he does so well. Hold up, we found a live version featuring Beck solo, accompanying himself on harmonica and acoustic guitar, and now we just HAVE to experience this wonderment in the flesh.

Upon his Bluesfest addition, Peter Noble, Festival Director of Bluesfest, said, "We are hugely excited to be presenting BECK, making his Bluesfest debut with a unique acoustic performance.

"We have already announced 49 artists for our 34th Bluesfest, and BECK makes it 50! His acoustic set will certainly provide an avant-garde element to our already amazing line-up. 

"For the first time since 2019, Bluesfest is free and unencumbered to showcase the finest genres of music from all over the globe, and BECK is the true personification of this."
