The Triffid is celebrating its tenth anniversary this year and has stacks of fun events coming up.
The latest? Members of Ball Park Music, Full Flower Moon Band, The Creases and Simi Lacroix will perform as The Faux Betweens, kicking off the big night’s celebrations on Wednesday, 13 November.
In addition to the supergroup, there’s the Grates With Mates show featuring the one and only Patience Hodgson, joined by an all-star cast of Aimon Clark (The Creases), Richard Daniel (Hatchie / The Grates), Samuel Pankhurst (Yirinda), Simon Ridley (DZ Deathrays), and Waveney Yasso (Muso to The Stars).
All the live music will take place as part of The Triffid’s Album of the Year afterparty. The winning artist will be crowned during an exclusive, free-entry celebration at The Triffid at 5:30 pm on Wednesday, 13 November. The crowned album will take pride of place on The Triffid's iconic Hero Wall and join icons like Regurgitator, Powderfinger, Violent Soho, and The Go-Betweens.

Last year’s Album of the Year title went to Beddy Rays for their self-titled debut. Past winners include Queensland artists like Stepson, The Chats, Tia Gostelow, Cub Sport, and Busby Marou.
