Aussies Ready To Take Over 21st Edition Of Download Festival
Karnivool, Make Them Suffer, Thy Art Is Murder and more Aussies are set to take over Download Festival stages.

80+ bands and artists have been revealed on the first announcement for the 21st edition of Download Festival, returning to Donington Park from 14-16 June 2024.
Headlined by Queens Of The Stone Age, Fall Out Boy and Avenged Sevenfold, next year’s event will also star heavy hitters Royal Blood, The Offspring, Machine Head, Pantera with their first UK appearance in 20 years, Bad Omens, Corey Taylor, Sum 41, BABYMETAL, Fear Factory, and more.
Also taking over one of the main stages is Aussie deathcore outfit Thy Art Is Murder, leading the charge of Australian artists heading to the UK next year. They’re followed by WA metalcore favourites Make Them Suffer, the legendary Karnivool, and prominent up-and-comers Alpha Wolf and SPEED. Alien Weaponry are also representing their native New Zealand. More artists will be added to the line-up soon, so there’s always more room for more local acts hitting international stages.

Thy Art Is Murder are currently touring with new vocalist Tyler Miller from the band Aversions Crown, who replaced former vocalist CJ McMahon in September.
“We have some important news regarding [new album] Godlike that we want to share with you,” Thy Art Is Murder wrote on social media.
The band initially said that the postponement of Godlike was due to “production delays”, but after reading their recent post, we know it’s due to McMahon’s replacement “finished re-recording vocals on the new album earlier this week”.
The band’s statement continued, “Our new album Godlike is now available worldwide digitally with an unforeseen change — Chris McMahon is no longer a part of Thy Art Is Murder and does not feature on the record.”

Meanwhile, Make Them Suffer have enjoyed a massive year, having just been added to the bill opening for Bring Me The Horizon in Australia next year. Lead vocalist Sean Harmanis also featured on the new Voyager album Fearless In Love, on the track Ultraviolet; the band landed over one million monthly listeners on Spotify, dropped a new single, Ghost Of Me and signed to Greyscale Records in Australia and Sharptone Records for the rest of the world.
Earlier this year, SPEED toured Australia after selling out their first-ever US headline tour. And last week, Alpha Wolf announced the return of their festival, CVLTFEST. The 2024 event will host American outfit Emmure, French group ten56 and Japanese bands Crossfaith and Paledusk, while on the local front, CVLTFEST boasts oddball favourites Ocean Grove and heavy up-and-comers Diamond Construct, Crave Death and Vilify.
On the 20th anniversary of Download Festival, Aussies Parkway Drive, RedHook, Stand Atlantic and The Amity Affliction landed coveted spots on the line-up.
