All money raised will head to the earthquake-struck country
Nepal has lost nearly 9,000 people, with another 23,000 injured on top of that, since being struck by the tragic Gorkha earthquake last month.
With the impending garguantuan task of rebuilding the country, and BBC recently reporting that only 10% of earthquake relief money came from overseas, Melbourne's most popular comedians have decided to host a Helping Nepal night of comedy, with all money raised from the benefit sent directly to the Nepalese people.
Led by Californian Arj Barker, along with comedy connoisseurs Dave Hughes, Jimeoin, Cal Wilson, Denise Scott, Dave Thornton, Luke McGregor and Tommy Little, the Helping Nepal fundraiser will be held at Melbourne's The Athenaeum Theatre this Friday, 5 June.
With tickets going for only $40 and available from here, the event supports an unfathomable disaster for the Nepalese.
