“It's almost like the universe pulling us, calling us, back together.”
Angus & Julia Stone have surprised fans today announcing they'll be sharing a new album this Friday.
Dubbed Life Is Strange, the album is the first taste of new music from the duo since their 2017 release, Snow.
The new album, created in collaboration with legendary producer Rick Rubin, is a soundtrack for the upcoming release in the game franchise of the same name - the fifth release for the titles, set to be called Life Is Strange: True Colors.
Speaking on the parallels between the game's family-centric nature and their work as a sibling duo, Angus stated: "There's always going to be this common thread that runs through all our songs, which is that at the bottom of everything is love.
"It always comes back to love, and things coming from within your heart. When all else fails, love will be the thing that conquers.”
Julia said of the new work: “I really like this record because it's a real mix of the old and the new. I can hear how, on this record, we weren't afraid to try, to follow our noses and not to force any direction that it went. It didn't matter that there was a really folky song next to a really dancy song. I can hear it feeling very free."

Angus added: “Things in our lives keep happening that bring us back together without us planning. It's almost like the universe pulling us, calling us, back together.”
